 1st AIRLIFT BASE in Warsaw




1st Airlift Base (1BLTr) started functioning on 01 January 2012 on the basis of the Decision of the Minister of National Defence dated on 05.08.2011.

It is a military unit subordinate to the Commander of the 3rd Air Transport Wing in Powidz. 



The 1st Airlift Base is intended to carry out air transport of supreme state authorities of the Republic of Poland and implement logistic suport of military units and institutions of the Ministry of National Defence.

In addition, 1BLTr realizes current needs of repair and maintenance of automobiles, leads the repair and maintenance of aviation equipment, and periodic ground safety check.

The unit also maintains readiness to use airport infrastructure, carries out protective tasks of military complexes and protects visits of foreign delegations.







1st Airlift Base Commander is COL Stanisław KONDRAT



The 1st Airlift Base took over the traditions and standards od the dismantled 1st Air Base- Air Force Base AK „Lausitz”. The banner was founded on October 5, 2007, thanks to the efforts of the Social Committee of Founders composed of representatives of the local government of the district of Warsaw- Włochy and the environment of soldiers of the Air Base of National Army „Lausitz”.

At the lobe of the banner the national emblem occupies a central place- The White Eagle. The colors of the banner are white and red - the national colors, arranged in the form of the cross. The laurel leaves contain the numer ”1” symbolizing the numer of the Air Base.

The reverse bears the slogan: „GOD, HONOR, COUNTRY”. In four laurel wreaths there are exposed the following: Eagle of the Air Force, emblem of the City of Warsaw. Badge of the Air Base of the National Army” Lausitz” and the memorial badge of the 1st  Air Base. At the head of the banner there is a metal figure of a crowned eagle.
